This competition is one of its kind, and something that has not yet been implemented in Pakistan. The idea is very appealing specially for the young thriving business oriented brain racking minds. It is for those young guns who think they have an idea to become an innovative bourgeois.

This unique contest is to promote Entrepreneurship in Pakistan, which i think is a very good idea not only for the younger generations but also for the business minded people to start up their side business and just want to give it a shot if their business plan will work when put in the actual market.

Best of luck to those who have decided to compete !

An ugly woman walks into a shop with her two kids.

The shopkeeper asks, “Are they twins?”

The woman says, “NO!!! , He’s 9 and She’s 5. Why? Do you think they look alike?”

“No”, he replies, “I just can’t believe you got fucked twice”!

Glimpse of a silver shine

September 25, 2007

Everyone knew about it, in fact I can bet the whole of Pakistan must be in front of their television sets today on the 24th of September. Yes it was the ideal 20/20 World Cup Final, and yes it was against the two extreme rivals of the world, Pakistan and India.

Who doesn’t know about the history of Pak Vs Ind war matches?.. just the thought of it brings chills and a vigorous energy not only in the blood of both the teams but also in the whole nation. And the icing on the cake was that it was the FINAL !!!…..

If the final was against Australia, then the pressure wouldn’t have been to the highest extent. If we would have lost against them, it would have been just another tournament final which we lost against the world’s best team for the past fucking decade. But being against India becomes a matter of ones reputation. Considering our nature, coming into the final was not important as compared to beating India.

All the players are ready, everyone is glued to the T.V screens, the roads are barren, people have booked tables at eat out spots and to open their fast.I am sure from the moment of the toss everyone knows what all happened! and to my liking Pakistan played like true winners in the first half by restricting the Indians to the total of 157 runs. But once again our batting line up seemed to fail from the beginning, but NO this was not a game anymore, it was war! so we played like true sportsmen and gave them a tough time.

At the end of the match although we lost by 5 runs, it showed that we were fighting for it! we were striving like true tigers! but there has to be a winner and unfortunately we lost but on the other hand we gained an extremely talented and potential player “Misbah-ul-Haq”. I think in my eyes he was supposed to be the man of the series as he almost single handedly guided us to the finals.

At the end of the day, the match was very interesting, I to begin with, was pretty much satisfied with our 20 over performance(which I think is a very short span to actually judge a team) but non the less, we fought till the end.

But like a true Pakistani, it would be highly unappropiate if i didn’t blame anyone. So I think Younus Khan’s performance was shitty! I mean giving away a maiden over and that also to such a bowler who was thrashed in his previous over for 26 runs. I mean what the fuck ?!?! Was he thinking that he was playing a test match or something? if only he would have made 5 runs in those 6 balls the world cup could have been ours to rub in India’s face!…20/20 is supposed to be a youngsters gameplay and they should have let him sit back in this tournament! And to all your Afridi Fan’s out there I am sorry to say but, he is a true pathan, i am sure if we are to open up his skull we wouldn’t find anything. I mean dude, play some sensible shots, you are a bloody senior player of the team now!

Ahh that felt good !! … now i can say that i am a true pakistani !!

Wired Up!!

September 16, 2007

Attention!! … all you gaming freaks out there I have a little bit of something for you. You will be please to hear that there is a new coffee shop/ Gaming domain in Karachi. Yes its “Wired Up”. At first I thought that it was a normal coffee place where people could bring their laptops and use the wireless internet which some of the coffee shops provide. But this is something totally different.

CS, Xbox360 and nintendo Fans this is a place just for you. Those people who haven’t tried out Nintendo-Wii, you all should go here. A few months back I had just heard about Nintendo Wii being a very cool gaming console required actual movement of the body to play its games, but I experienced it myself and it ROCKED !!! specially tennis!..

These guys also have Xbox360 with quite a bit of game collection. On Wii there are tennis, bowling, boxing and baseball. Other than this if you are a Counter Strike Fan, there is a whole gaming arena for it. Yes its true you feel a bit old when you go to this place since its mostly attracted by the younger generation but its really good to go there have a separate couch for your friends and play a few games and take some steam off. You can order things to drink and eat as well. and for the charges, I think its very reasonable, Rs 100/= for an hour per controller. Unfortunately they don’t have their site up as yet but do check it out, its on Zamzama, next to Chatterbox (the bakery).

Kudos to the owners for thinking of such an innovative entertaining place.!
